Feel-Good Foods, According to Our Team
Not just what’s nutritious, but what makes you feel something.
Joy. Comfort. Nostalgia. A little spark of “oh, that hits the spot.”
Because not every feel-good food comes in a green smoothie. Sometimes it’s a piece of buttery toast that tastes like your Nan’s kitchen. Or a bowl of plain rice that somehow feels like home.
At Mode, we believe food isn’t just fuel. It’s memory, culture, emotion, connection.
So we asked our team and here’s what they said…

Laura, Community and Brand Manager: “Peanut butter and pickled onions on fresh white bread, oh and Affogato”
Jordan, CEO & Co-Founder: “Greek almond crescent biscuit with an espresso. Kourabiedes they’re called (I just googled it)”
Jess, Care Manager: “Melted dark chocolate on banana and yoghurt, with lots of flaky salt on top BUT it has to go in the freezer for a minute so then it becomes a fun chocolate shell to crack”
Dr Matty Moore: “Bacon”
Sarah, Care Manager: “Greek yoghurt with frozen raspberries, kiwi, banana, coconut flakes
and cinnamon”Zoe, Lead Nurse: “Mine is super boring but I'm a fiend for the cocobella chocolate coconut water
I'm that psycho buying woolies and coles out haha. But honestly, that ice cold after dinner or an afternoon treat curbs my sweet treat cravings and those are hard to curb (the size of my glass is probably not doctor approved)”Dr Caroline Chin: “Mine would be the classic Malaysian brekkie of my childhood- Kaya (coconut jam) toast dipped in soft boiled eggs or any soup in winter”
Maddison, Practice Manager: “I’m trying to figure out how to say the sand like parmesan from the farmers market directly from the tub?! without sounding like a weirdo. Also, salt and vinegar chips, dates stuffed with salted butter and new found favourite Parmesan chunks with balsamic Vinegar drizzled on top - we first had this in Modena, Italy the heart of both Parmesan and Balsamic”
Paris, Care Manager: “looove me some pumpkin soup or chicken & sweet corn soup”
Dr Kylie Chan: “Chia pudding made with oat milk (only Pure Harvest brand) with a base of chopped watermelon (and any other fruit/berries) topped with greek yoghurt and maple syrup. The watermelon flavour is what MAKES this! It’s so refreshing and crave-worthy”
